Exclusive: Man United recently made contact for Argentinian La Liga record breaking wonder-kid

Manchester United have recently shown their desire to bring Mallorca wonder-kid and La Liga record-breaker 15-year-old Luka Romero to Old Trafford. However, despite such enthusiasm shown from the United hierarchy, the player is expected to reject a move to Manchester as current club Mallorca continue to try and retain his services.

Teenager Romero who holds triple-citizenship after being eligible to represent Mexico, Argentina or Spain has set La Liga alight after becoming the youngest ever player to feature in Spain’s top-flight at the tender age of just 15 years and 219 days.

Stretty News reported earlier this year that United are monitoring the youngster and even held talks with the teenager’s family over a possible switch to England.

However, despite United’s keen interest in the youngster it appears that the player has rejected the chance to join the Reds as the youngster’s situation in Spain intensifies.

Romero’s potential transfer circumstances are more complex than most due to his age, being just 15-years old he is ineligible for a professional deal and can therefore more anywhere in Europe for free. However, we understand that despite the player’s seemingly attractive financial status, he is likely to reject a move to United.

Stretty News have recently obtained further information regarding Romero, according to our source United have made contact regarding the talented midfielder as recently as last month.

We understand that United followed their initial interest up and enquired about Romero’s availability as they tried to establish the youngster’s stance on swapping Spain for England.

It is understood that Romero’s desire is to reject United’s advances and instead remain in La Liga with current club Mallorca who are set to name him in their starting line-up next weekend against Rayo Vallecano.

We have been informed that Mallorca are trying hard to retain Romero’s services, however, we understand that a long-line of top European clubs are also casting a keen eye over the talented teenager.
