Man United expected to miss out on exciting forward valued at £36m

Manchester United are reportedly set to miss out on Club Brugge striker Emmanuel Dennis as a host of European clubs including Arsenal lead the race to secure his services.

Dennis, 22, has impressed hugely this season after scoring nine goals in all competitions and setting up a further two with his most notable contributions coming in the illustrious Champions League.

The young forward’s pick of the bunch was arguably against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United when he scored in the games’ opening 15 minutes when the two sides met in the Europa League back in February.

The young forward has become a highly sought after prospect after he showed remarkable offensive capabilities of playing anywhere across the front-line having featured at least four times on the right-winger, left-wing and as a lone striker.

According to CaughtOffside, the forward was of interest to United who continue to be linked with attacking flair players, however, the report states that the Red’s have cooled their interest in recent times.

Interest in Dennis is believed to be high with the likes of Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan, Everton and Premier League new-boys Leeds all upping their desire to secure the services of the 22-year-old attacker.

The report goes onto claim that Dennis’ preferred destination is to join a club playing in next season’s Champions League and will be allowed to do so should a bid of at least £36m come in for the striker.

It goes without saying, if United’s stance should change, they will need to act quickly in order to beat some tough competition for the highly-rated African.
