Photo: Rafael shows his MUFC roots on Twitter after Lyon knock Man City out of Champions League

Rafael Da Silva is showing his sheer delight after his side Lyon knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League last night to qualify for the semi-finals.

The Brazilian took to Twitter on Sunday morning, proudly tweeting: “Good Morning Twitter,” followed by some eye-balling emojis, as though he wanted to talk about the elephant in the room.

Despite being pushed out of United by former manager Louis van Gaal, Rafael has never forgotten his roots at Old Trafford and often posts about the club on his social media channels.

Rafael’s personality shown through when a fan asked him to RT his reply if he hated City — which he did!

He was part of some big games and tasty derbies during his time at United. I can’t imagine how much he enjoyed last night, along with Memphis Depay.

Great result lads!
