Man United receive boost to sign France starlet as club sign two replacements

Manchester United and Manchester City are both linked with Angers left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The two Premier League clubs received a boost in their pursuit of the teenager after reportedly submitting official bids for the 19-year-old because it looks like Angers have already signed his replacement.

Ait-Nouri is considered one of the most promising players in France right now and has earned 3 caps for the country’s U21 team. He would be joining a lot of young talent if he was move to Old Trafford, but it sounds like there will be a lot of clubs monitoring his situation this summer.

After making his first-team debut for Angers against PSG in August 2018, Ait-Nouri has gone from strength to strength.

He has made 17 Ligue 1 appearances thus far but a fractured jaw saw him sidelined from January onwards — French football concluded early over the global coronavirus pandemic, there was no project restart like we had in England and other top leagues around Europe.

French outlet Foot Mercato report that United and City have both sent offers to agent Jorge Mendes, who represents Ait-Nouri.

The youngster supposedly flew to England last Tuesday to visit the training facilities of several clubs, including the Manchester pair.

However, L’Equipe reported on Monday that Moroccan left-back Oussama Falouh will join Angers in the coming days after completing a medical.

Falouh follows Ivory Coast left-back Souleyman Doumbia, who joined from Rennes in July.
