Manchester United have Declan Rice among their list of transfer targets, according to a report in the Mirror.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side qualified for the Champions League after finishing third in the Premier League. Now it’s time for Ed Woodward and the Manchester United board to back the manager in the transfer market,

His track record for buying players (at United) has been impressive and everyone can see the team is improving. Last summer he bought Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire — before adding Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo (on loan) in January.

In order to raise funds, several players could be sold which we spoke about on this week’s Strettycast.

West Ham midfielder Rice could add depth to central midfield, but surely we can find a better option for a fraction of the price the Hammers would demand?

I really don’t think he’s *that* good and United should be looking elsewhere.

Our financial position has been improved thanks to qualification for the Champions League which also secures the club the full £75m from Adidas. They will be awaiting additional broadcast and hopefully prize money revenue.
