Video: Klopp woke up Sir Alex Ferguson at 3:30am to remind him Liverpool are Champions

Sir Alex Ferguson says he has forgiven Jurgen Klopp after revealing the Liverpool manager woke him up at 3:30am to remind him who the newly-crowned Premier League champions were.

The greatest manager of all time was speaking after it was announced Klopp had won the League Managers Association manager of the year for guiding Liverpool to their first league title in 30 years.

Klopp unsurprisingly claimed the top managerial prize and Ferguson lavished praise on the German coach for his impact at Anfield.

Ferguson, who won 13 Premier League titles during his time at Manchester United, described Klopp’s achievement as ‘incredible’ and said he was thoroughly deserving of the award.

But he also mentioned that Klopp woke up him up in the early hours of the morning to tell him Liverpool had won the Premier League.

We can only presume this was a drunken call by Klopp while celebrating Liverpool’s momentous feat.
