Brandon Williams had to be replaced after suffering a sickening facial injury in Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Southampton at Old Trafford.
Williams was substituted on for Luke Shaw in the final 15 minutes after United’s first choice left-back was forced off after rolling his ankle.
And United were down to 10 men after Williams was unable to continue after a nasty collision with Saints defender Kyle Walker-Peters.
In an awful-looking injury, blood was gushing down the 19-year-old’s face as he was dealt with by United’s medical staff.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made just four of his five permitted changes, but at three different intervals so was unable to replace Williams when it became clear he could not carry on.
We are yet to see the extent of Williams’ injury but his potential absence could cause Solskjaer a serious blow, with Shaw already a doubt for United’s games against Crystal Palace and Chelsea this week.

I know we drew but we were playing with 10 men in the stoppage time.
Brandon Williams is badly bleeding man. Hope he gets well soon. I don't care about the draw. Just worried for Brandon 😕
