Rio Ferdinand praises United youngster for absolutely terrorising defenders

Mason Greenwood is 18-years-old but age is only a number when you see him destroy experienced professionals in a Premier League match.

A remarkable young player we ought to make sure gets the right development at Manchester United to reach his full potential.

Greenwood shoots comfortably with his left and right foot, so much that he used to swap feet for free-kicks and penalties in the the youth team. The kid has nerve and a lethal streak when he’s in front of goal.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand took to Twitter last night during the 3-0 win over Brighton to keep the pressure on Chelsea and Wolves in the hunt for a Champions League spot.

After watching Greenwood make it 1-0, Ferdinand tweeted: “This guy absolutely terroising defenders…. @masongreenwood 👌🏼 Love it! 💯💥⚽️”

We’ve already mentioned how Greenwood is lethal when it comes to goalscoring opportunities, but Ferdinand is right when he says the youngster is terroising defenders. It will be interesting to see just how many games he starts on the right between now and the end of the season…
