FIFA 20 ePremier League – Jofra Archer reps Man Utd in 4-1 win over Newcastle

Wolves striker Diogo Jota won the first edition of the tournament, achieving the feat after beating Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander Arnold in an exciting final.

Alexander-Arnold knocked out United’s representative singer Tom Grennan in a competitive match-up in his route to the final.

Grennan features in this week’s Strettycast to talk about the ePremier League tournament. Patreons (£) can watch the interview in full here.

England cricket sensation Jofra Archer, who played a starring role in the dramatic World Cup final against New Zealand at Lords in 2019, represented United in the second edition of the ePL tournament today.

Jofra came up against Newcastle winger Rolando Aarons, who is currently on loan at Scottish club Motherwell, in the first round.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have nominated one of their first-team players in Phil Foden to compete. And the next game to take place at 6pm is Leicester City’s James Maddison and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, two players who have both been linked with moves to Old Trafford in the past year.

The games consist of two 6-minute halves and both players are streamed live via webcam, so you can see them interact while competing in the FIFA 20 tournament.

Jofra Archer was very modest before kick-off and took the lead in the first-half through Anthony Martial, but Rolando Aarons found an equaliser with Dwight Gayle on the brink of half-time.

Nemanja Matic popped up in the box for a ball out wide as Jofra took the lead again — but even he will admit to being fortunate for that one.

It didn’t take long for Jofra to net his third and fourth goal to book his name in the final third as Marcus Rashford got in on the scoring, with Martial getting his second to seal the win.

Jofra, who was very animated during the stream, takes on John Egan (Sheffield United) on Thursday, May 7.

Check out the Premier League YouTube channel at 6pm to watch Leicester City’s James Maddison take on Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson.
