Moussa Dembele’s transfer stance should alert Solskjaer at Man United

Moussa Dembele is reportedly open to making the switch to Manchester United in this summer’s transfer window.

The Lyon forward has proven to be one of the most prolific finishers in Ligue 1 over the past two seasons since his move from Celtic and has been tipped for a move to the Premier League.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Dembele would find it hard to reject a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Their report claim Dembele is a player that is being monitored by the club, but United have not yet made any contact with Lyon over his potential signature.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer requires a striker in the upcoming window to provide competition for Anthony Martial and finally replace Romelu Lukaku as a natural centre forward at the club.

And the Norwegian could do much worse than Dembele, who at 23 is the perfect age to become part of the rebuild.

The Frenchman netted 16 times  for Lyon in the league before the coronavirus pandemic ended their season early.

This impressive tally backs up the 15 goals he scored in his first season at the club.

The fact that Dembele is seemingly keen on moving to Manchester and taking the next step in his career may make the deal much more straight forward to complete.

RP Leipzig striker Timo Werner is also a player under consideration, according to the MEN’s report.
