Man Utd told to brace themselves for Marcus Rashford offers from Europe’s elite clubs

Clinton Morrison has warned Manchester United that they will have to prepare from future offers from Barcelona and Real Madrid for Marcus Rashford.

Rashford is totemic in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s rebuild and was the Norwegian’s talisman in the early part of the season before he suffered a back injury.

The England international has enjoyed his best ever season in front of goal with 19 strikes in all competitions in a new found position on the inside left channel.

The new role in Solskjaer’s fluid counter-attacking system allows Rashford freedom to run at defenders, where he is most dangerous.

Former Crystal Palace striker Morrison has heaped praise on Rashford, and thinks the 22-year-old is already one of the best players in the world.

“I think he’s just going to go from strength to strength to strength,” Morrison told TalkSPORT.

“Mark my words, I think a club like Barcelona or Real Madrid will come knocking because I think he’s an exceptional talent, and he’s mentally strong.

“For a person at such a young age, he’s played a lot of football. He is mentally strong. He’s a terrific player. You need things like this in your career that you can bounce back from.

“He’s come out and said Jose Mourinho has kind of helped him because you want situations like that to happen in your career where you become mentally strong.

“But, for me, Rashford is one of the best footballers around at the moment.”

Rashford will be the first to admit that he is not the finished article and there is plenty of work to do before he can be considered one of the world’s best.

But the potential is there and he is certainly one of the most exciting young players in world football.

United are under no pressure to sell their academy graduate so we think a move to any of Europe’s elite clubs in the near future is extremely unlikely. Rashford loves United and would have to push for a move away from his boyhood club in order to seal a transfer.
