Adnan Januzaj reveals he still loves Manchester United

Despite leaving Manchester United in 2017, Adnan Januzaj has admitted that he is still keeping tabs on the Red Devils.

Speaking to Spanish outlet AS earlier this week, the Real Sociedad midfielder said: “Manchester United is my second time after Real.”

Having gone through the ranks at United and becoming an academy graduate, Januzaj holds Paul Pogba in high regard.

Reflecting on his current favourite player, the Belgian added (quotes translated by The Sun): “For me the best player is Cristiano Ronaldo, but my favourite is Pogba, because I grew up playing with him.”

Januzaj broke into United’s first team back in 2013 under David Moyes and quickly became one of the brightest prospects in the Premier League, but over time he lost his ways.

He couldn’t cope with the expectations at Old Trafford and joined Sociedad following a series of unsuccessful loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland.

It’s a shame how it turned out but it proves that you may have ability it takes to play for United, but you’ve got to have the right mentality and level of discipline. Januzaj definitely lacked the latter during his time at United and he took his eye off the ball.

Still, it’s nice to hear he keeps tabs on United and views one of our as his favourite player in the world.
