Man Utd midfielder Bruno Fernandes compared to Kevin De Bruyne for one key reason

Bruno Fernandes has transformed Manchester United into a potent attacking force since his arrival in January.

Many United fans had implored the club to make the transfer happen for months, but few could have imagined the immediate impact he has had in revitalising the club’s fortunes.

The Portugal midfielder was again instrumental as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side extended their unbeaten run to 11 games with the 5-0 victory over LASK on Thursday evening.

Fernandes assisted Ighalo’s stunning opener, and is the man that is currently making things tick at Old Trafford.

Former United midfielder Owen Hargreaves heaped praise on the January signing, comparing his game to Man City star Kevin De Bruyne.

“Every time he gets the ball he makes something happen,” he told BT Sport.

“Fernandes is on fire, he created five chances in the first half.

“Like De Bruyne, he plays at his own speed, he’s never rushed, finds pockets of space.

“He just has a feel of when to do things.”

Of course, it’s far too early to suggest Fernandes will have the same impact in the Premier League that De Bruyne has had under Pep Guardiola has had at City, but the early signs are so promising.

Hargreaves is referring the way each player can effortlessly dictate the pace of play through their vision and calmness on the ball.

It’s difficult not getting too carried away with finally having an attacking midfielder of real quality at United.
