‘Only scraped a draw’: Loads of MUFC fans react to performance v Club Brugge

Manchester United fans are understandably concerned after the performance in the first-leg of their Europa League knockout clash against Club Brugge.

Don’t get us wrong, Brugge have some very good footballers like Emmanuel Dennis, but on paper they are not on our level but made work hard for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men on the night in Bruges.

The Red Devils didn’t look as though they were at the races from the start, despite only recently returning from a winter break in Marbella for warm weather training, showing mistakes at the back less than three minutes into the game.

Things got worse as Dennis opened the scoring after 15 minutes, with a lovely lob after United were caught napping after thinking they’d got a corner kick at the other end.

Thankfully Martial leveled for United after capitalising on a costly mistake from Brugge’s centre-back who took way too much out of the ball, as seen here.

The introduction of Bruno Fernandes made a big difference to our performance. We would have won the game had he started.

The Portugal international’s display only further intensifies the pressure being put on Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard. Fans’ patience is wearing thin.

Anyhow, here’s how some supporters reacted to the team’s display (via Twitter):
