Confirmed Man Utd XI to face Club Brugge: Solskjaer makes six changes as Mata starts

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his starting eleven for this evening’s Europa League tie against Club Brugge.

United will be looking to earn back-to-back victories after the win at Chelsea on Monday, and should fancy their chances against the Belgian outfit.

Brugge are nine points clear at the top of the Belgian league, but consistently struggle against the English sides and the Reds will be hoping to put the tie to bed this evening.

Solskjaer has made six changes to the side that defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

But the Norwegian has opted to stick with the five-at-the-back formation that has worked well on occasions this season, with Luke Shaw retaining his place in a back three including Harry Maguire and the fit again Victor Lindelof.

Diogo Dalot earns a start at right wing-back, behind a midfield three of Andreas Pereira, Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata.

Mata is likely to play a supporting role to forwards Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial this evening.

Meanwhile, new singings Odion Ighalo and Bruno Fernandes have to settle for a place on a strong United bench including Daniel James and Fred.
