Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s latest update on Paul Pogba sounds ominous

We are now seriously starting to wonder whether Paul Pogba will ever feature in a Manchester United shirt again.

It was already inevitable that the Frenchman was set to leave Old Trafford this summer, with his agent Mino Raiola causing more toxicity by suggesting the midfielder is a ‘prisoner’ of Solskjaer.

But we did expect Pogba to play in some capacity as United push for a Champions League qualifying spot towards the end of the season.

Pogba has started just eight games for the Reds this season, in a season that has been somewhat a non-event for the World Cup winner.

The last time he completed 90 minutes was in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal in September.

He has been working on his recovery after having an operation on his ankle, and missed the warm weather training camp to Marbella this week.

Pogba is working on his fitness with his own team and has posted numerous updates on his social media accounts.

But according to Solskjaer, he is still nowhere near ready to train with the first-team.

“He’s not been part of team training yet, he’s not anywhere near that yet,” Solskjaer said, as quoted by Manchester Evening News.

Solskjaer’s comments about his midfielder have seemed ominous in the last few months and it seems his Old Trafford career is all but over.
