Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had another nightmare day as he addressed the media at Carrington ahead of Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Man City.
He announced his decision to welcome back Alexis Sanchez to Man Utd next season and suggested that the Chile international would prove everyone wrong.
This is the same player who months ago was considered to be deadwood in the squad, surplus to requirements and loaned out to Inter Milan despite being the best paid player at Old Trafford.
All this proves is what we already know. United are in a complete mess and have no real plan to back Solskjaer as manager.
Listen to the clip above (2.44) and you can actually hear a journalist say “seriously?” In complete and utter shock at Solskjaer’s bizarre decision.
Probably the only thing to break a grin on my face today!
While we’re in shock that Solskjaer openly came out welcoming Sanchez back for next season, this is further proof (if you need it) that the Glazers don’t care about what happens on the pitch and are only interested in draining the club dry of its revenue.
No sign of the change we were promised when Solskjaer was appointed.
