Sporting Lisbon manager Silas claims he doesn’t know what the future holds for Manchester United target Bruno Fernandes.
Sky Sports covered his performance against Benfica as an emotional farewell to Sporting.
It certainly sounds like a deal will be eventually wrapped up with Man Utd landing their man.
There are many reports circulating over how much it will cost the Red Devils, but it won’t be as costly as United’s decision not to sign Fernandes in the summer.
That would have solved at least one issue for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United have been unable to find the right player to occupy the No10 role in behind Anthony Martial. While Fernandes can do that and more, Jesse Lingard has performed poorly all season and Juan Mata isn’t the player he used to be despite being the current best option.
Quotes by Silas were published by Record and picked up by the ever reliable Sport Witness.
Sporting manager: “We have to understand the ambition of the player, who prefers to play in a league superior to ours. There has been talk about the English league, but who wouldn’t like to play there? Bruno deserves everything.”

It sounds like Silas accepts that he will be without his star player soon.
These quotes didn’t go unnoticed as Man Utd fans expressed a great deal of excitement online.

You made him stay and you still lost 2-0.
The best thing you can do is let him go.
To join United. https://t.co/2TJgxpibG5

Only Woodward could take ages on a deal where the player clearly wants to come and the club are willing to sell.

#FreeBruno Can’t keep stalling this deal because they want him to play more.

So basically, if Woodward and the Glazers stop being tight, we could have him on a plane tomorrow and have him playing against Burnley. The way this is going, we’ll sign that Bellingham guy and make out like Bruno was too expensive…
