Mason Greenwood has given Manchester United the lead against Newcastle with a thunderous effort at Old Trafford.
The 18-year old fired home from outside of the box after sloppy Newcastle defence, via a slight defection from Federico Fernandez.
Fabian Schar gifted Greenwood possession and he made no mistake, smashing in from the crossbar.
Greenwood has already rewarded Solskjaer’s faith in him as he was selected on the right-flank ahead of Daniel James this evening.
United had earlier been behind through Matty Longstaff’s opener following some poor defending.
But the Reds equalised within minutes through Anthony Martial and now lead after Greenwood’s strike:
