Report: Man Utd may be too late in race to sign young Serie A winger

Manchester United have tabled a bid for Parma winger Dejan Kulusevski, according to Calciomercato.

There has been quite a bit of speculation over Man Utd’s interest in the Swede this past month, so we thought this gossip should be taken a little more seriously in January when the transfer window reopens.

Now the Italian outlet claims United have made their interest formal with a £25m offer which could mean things are gathering pace.

Kulusevski has impressed this season for Parma while on loan from Atalana, who are now reported to have accepted that he will not return and are ready to cash in, setting an asking price of around £34m.

For a player only really making a real breakthrough that money represents a gamble for a Premier League club. While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wishes to build his team around young and hungry players, he also needs to fill the team with some experienced winger.

The question for United is does this potential deal represent value for money? Is Kulusevski ready to join United and improve the current team?

Atalana already want more than what United have offered…

Moreover, the Red Devils may already be late to the party.

Sportmediaset via Sempreinter believes that Inter Milan have already won the race to sign Kulusevski.

It is claimed that Inter have agreed a deal that will be secured next month but completed in July.

That means Kulusevski will run out the rest of his loan spell at Parma this season.
