Manchester United are on their way to the Carabao Cup semi-finals where they will face Man City over two legs.
The Red Devils beat Colchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford, thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford, R. Jackson (own goal) and Anthony Martial. That win sealed their place in the next round and we’ve only gone and got the biggest tie!
Man Utd dominated Colchester throughout the game and can now look forward to the semi-finals.
Although we should have been miles ahead at half-time, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men showed they can be clinical in front of goal after the interval — with the first two goals coming in the space of five minutes.
Solskjaer will be happy that both Rashford and Martial got the on the scoresheet, though they’ll be sickened not to have scored more on the night.
City are the reigning champions but by beating them in over two legs, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be on course to win his first piece of silverware as a manager.
