Man Utd target Erling Braut Haaland now follows Reds on Twitter

Erling Braut Haaland has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United and it has been brought to our attention that the Red Bull Salzburg striker follows @ManUtd on Twitter.

This could be a matter of Haaland simply liking United but at best this means he wants to join the Old Trafford outfit.

With the power of social media nowadays, either way this is going to add fuel to the fire and hint that a deal would interest the talented Norwegian striker.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein has added more weight to the speculation, reporting that Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, has visited Carrington training ground.

Haaland also follows United striker Marcus Rashford on Twitter.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has asked trusted scout Simon Wells to watch the teenager, as reported by The Athletic.

This comes as no surprise given Solskjaer previously managed Haaland at Molde and he has netted 26 goals this season already for RB Salzburg, including a whopping six hat-tricks.

We are unsure whether this is a hint, or what Haaland’s true intentions are, because some footballers don’t even run their own Twitter accounts.

Make of it what you will. It’s sure to make a few headlines during a slow international break.

United are back in action on Sunday with a tough trip to Sheffield United.
