Whoever is working on the @ManUtd Twitter account may have some answering to do after retweeting a post from an account under the name #GlazersOut.
Manchester United fans have been pushing to get #GlazersOut trending on social media all summer, with users changing their names and profile pictures to give the trend a boost on Twitter.
Innocently commenting on the game, when Anthony Martial hit the post four minutes in against Tottenham Hotspur, @BxyerJ wrote: “Martial! So close.”
The official United account quoted the tweet, adding: “Almost the perfect start for #MUFC, as Tony’s left-footed strike from the edge of the area smacks against the post and rolls to safety.”

It is pretty clear that whoever is working on the account for the Spurs match didn’t notice the #GlazersOut tag, but looking back at it made us laugh.
The official account usually ignores that sort of thing, sweeping views of its supporters under the carpet, so long as money can be made from what the Glazers see as their commercial cash cow.
I wonder how they’ll react to this. *Giggles*
