Many of us had forgotten about the rumoured move for Ajax captain Matthijs De Ligt.
De Ligt was outstanding in his side’s run to the to the Champions League semi-finals this summer, playing leading roles in victories over Real Madrid and Juventus.
The Netherlands defender had been widely expected to join a huge Champions League club, with PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus all reportedly interested.

But reliable BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein has provided the latest on De Ligt’s future, claiming Manchester United are the only club to have actually made a concrete offer for the 19-year-old.
De Ligt is a player United could build the club around in a position where manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to strengthen the most this summer.
However, according to Ornstein, De Ligt does not want a move to Old Trafford.
We should not continue a pursuit of a defender if it is made clear they do not want to join the club. The Reds need a centre-back this summer, so must seek alternatives to De Ligt, despite the youngster having the potential to become one of the best defenders in world football.
The only offer on Matthijs de Ligt's table at the moment is from #MUFC but the player does not want to go there, says @bbcsport_david
