In his first season at United, Lindelof made just five appearances in the Premier League. He has since kicked on to become a first-team regular.

Perhaps that was down to the manager, Jose Moruinho, cautiously wanting to ease a new player into English football after arriving from Portugal.

Sweden are unlikely to top their UEFA Nations League group even if they beat current leaders tonight. If the Swedes win both teams with share seven points, but the Russians went into the game three goals better off (currently 2).
