Rashford’s future at Man Utd could hinge on crucial condition

Despite struggling to establish himself as a first-term regular under Jose Mourinho, it’s reported that Marus Rashford has no desire to quit Manchester United just yet, but his long-term future could depend on a key factor.

The 20-year-old has only managed to start one of the opening four Premier League games this season and it currently suspended for three games after getting sent off against Burnley in our previous outing.

Competition for places are fierce on the left-flank at Old Trafford with the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial also fighting for the starting spot, while Romelu Lukaku is the main man up front.

As reported by The Sun, it’s suggested that while the England international has no desire to leave the club, he is eager to play up front or as a No.10 and if he fails to get those opportunities, then perhaps that could raise genuine question marks over his future at Old Trafford.

It’s difficult to see that happening on a regular basis unless Lukaku picks up a bad injury. This is a results business and Mourinho is going to play his strongest starting eleven most weeks to try achieve that. If that means upsetting a few, so be it…

Rashford scored eight goals in 18 appearances during his breakthrough campaign in 2015/16, but he has since followed that up with 11 and 13 goals in 53 and 52 outings respectively over the past two seasons.
