Host of clubs to move in on Man Utd target after refusing new PSG deal

Manchester United were liked with a deadline day move with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, but now Barcelona are reportedly on red alert.

Rabiot, 23, came through the youth ranks at PSG, before eventually earning a place in the first-team, at the tender age of 17.

The 6-time capped France international has since been a member of PSG’s greatest teams to date and, despite that, is being linked with moves out of Paris.

Last season, Rabiot made 33 Ligue 1 appearances (27 starts), as well as starts in all 8 of their Champions League fixtures.

As things stand, Barcelona are the club most persistently-touted as a potential destination. The transfer window for La Liga clubs is still open, though the opportunity for Premier League outfits to strengthen ended last Thursday at 5pm.

And, as per a report from L’Equipe (via Sport), Barcelona, along with Juventus and AC Milan, are on high alert, amid claims that Rabiot has turned down PSG’s latest contract offer.

We are not sure whether United’s interest was genuine or made up crap like you usually see appear out of nowhere on deadline day.

But since United were linked in the first place, we’ll keep an eye on Rabiot’s situation.
