Premier League star valued at £50m wanted by Man Utd and Roma

Marko Arnautovic could already be on his way out of West Ham, with the club reportedly willing to listen to offers for the Austrian forward.

Manchester United and Roma are understood to be interested in the 29-year-old, who joined the Hammers for a club-record fee last summer from Stoke City.

Arnautovic, 29, flourished under David Moyes after a difficult start under Slaven Bilic, who was then sacked by the West Ham hierarchy. His position became untenable before Moyesy was appointed to help them avoid the drop. The former United manager did just that but wasn’t kept on as manager, which was probably for the best.

However, new manager Manuel Pellegrini’s big-spending exploits during the summer so far suggest Arnautovic’s days at the London Stadium could be numbered.

They’ve already brought in seven new players, including paying out a club-record fee of £42 million to land Felipe Anderson from Lazio. The Brazilian was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford during Louis van Gaal’s tenure but speculation rekindled last summer when the player talked up a potential switch, as per The Independent.

Arnautovic bagged 11 goals in 35 appearances last term, which is an above average return and has me questioning the supposed £50 million fee West Ham are apparently demanding.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who also back up the report stating United are Roma are in the race to sign the Austria international.

The sooner silly season ends, the better.
