Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for Gareth Bale again this summer, but are our chances cut following Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus?
You may think so, but we’ve never looked this likely to land Bale.
The 28-year-old became a bit part player at Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane, leading to speculation that he could leave the La Liga giants for us.

Los Blancos have since replaced Zidane with former Spain coach Julen Lopetegui and that could turn the Wales international’s head with an opportunity to become their talisman after Ronaldo’s exit.
Bale scored a match-winning brace as a substitute in the Champions League final back in May, helping Madrid win Europe’s most prestigious tournament for a third consecutive year, at the expense of Liverpool.
However, Sky Sports now understands that Bale will hold face-to-face talks with Lopetegui next week to get more of an idea of what plans are in store for the United target.
The report claims that Bale’s entourage is due to travel to Madrid before the end of the month to hold talks with Madrid president Florentino Perez to discuss his future even further.
We’re just going to have to sit back and wait patiently for this to unfold.
