Tottenham Hotspur star Toby Alderweireld is reportedly keen on joining Manchester United after Belgium’s exit from the World Cup.
The Reds held talks with Spurs over Alderweireld at the end of last season but were put off by Tottenham’s high valuation believed to be worth £75 million.
Spurs are resigned to losing the 29-year-old this summer given a clause in his contract allows him to leave for just £25 million in 12 months’ time.

However, United have a pool of targets are not foolish enough to wait around all summer long unless Spurs are willing to drop their price. Despite getting that hint, the London club have since indicated that a deal could be done, according to Yahoo.
The report came from Irish journalist, Kevin Palmer, who also does bits for the Independent.
It is being said that Alderweireld’s advisors are said to be pushing for the move to be completed so that the player can enjoy his break knowing he’s about to join the biggest football club in the world. The story suggests United have received encouragement that a fee of around £60 million would seal the deal.
Manager Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his defence and Alderweireld has been identified as the player most capable of doing so, ahead of the 2018/19 season.
