‘He will dominate the Premier League next season’ – Reaction to Lukaku’s World Cup display

Romelu Lukaku scored another brace at the 2018 World Cup as he continues his prolific run of form for Belgium.

The Manchester United striker finished superbly for both goals as Belgium look the real deal based on what we’ve seen from them so far at this tournament.

That said, Belgium have only faced Panama and Tunisia. Neither of those nations were expected to qualify for the knockout stages, so the group stages has been a walk in the park for Roberto Martinez’s men.

Lukaku’s first was his 40th goal for his country, a true landmark, and he’s only gone to make it 41. His second goal, however, would be my pick of the bunch.

Already Belgium’s all-time leading goal scorer, it’s been an incredible start to a World Cup campaign for the 25-year-old, who has years left at the highest level.

The sky is the limit.

United fans reacted in a rather excited manner on Twitter:
