BREAKING: Agent reveals Anthony Martial’s unhappiness at Man Utd

Anthony Martial’s agent has given an interview revealing his client has evaluated his options and now wants to leave Manchester United.

We can’t say we didn’t see this coming as Martial has been linked with a number of clubs this summer. The relationship between manager Jose Mourinho and Martial has worsened since January, with the Portuguese tactician questioning why the Frenchman’s development has stalled.

Martial missed out on a place in Didier Deschamps’ 23-man squad for the World Cup in Russia and he’s likely to feel aggrieved by that, taking the blame out on the United boss who opted to play Alexis Sanchez out wide on the left instead.

Speaking to RMC, Martial’s agent Philippe Lamboley said: “After thinking all the possibilities, Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United.”

Should he leave this summer, Mourinho will need to go out and sign another attacking player.

It will be a shame to lose a player of that quality, but there is little we can do if he’s unhappy.

For now, United need to see if they can shift Martial abroad or change his mind. No way should the club sell him to a domestic rival.
