According to talkSPORT, Manchester City and Manchester United have both failed with £53 million bids for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.
Skrainiar, 23, has flourished during his debut season at Inter and interest in him is expected to be high this summer.

City apparently wanted the centre back a year ago, while the Reds are now keeping tabs on him too.
Corriere dello Sport claim both clubs have had offers rejected by the Serie A giants, who signed the Slovakia international from domestic rivals Sampdoria.
The bids are believed to have been instantly knocked back as Inter have no plans to sell their star defender, particularly as they will be back competing in the Champions League next season.
