According to talkSPORT, Manchester United are preparing a summer clear-out in excess of £100 million this summer.
Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmain and Daley Blind will leave as the Reds look to generate funds that will improve the team for next season.
Another name that looks unlikely to be at the club is Marouane Fellaini, with The Times reporting that he will leave United on a free this summer.
The Sun has reported that United boss Jose Mourinho has grown tired of his squad that has under-performed despite an array of multi-million-pound signings in recent years.
Martial is arguably the biggest name listed in the potential clear out. There has been a number of valuations touted, but in truth I don’t think anyone knows and they’re playing the guessing game.
What’s more is United have an option to extend his contract by another 12 months.
Moreover, Shaw leaving the club wouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone as it’s pretty clear at this stage that Mourinho doesn’t fancy the left-back. Whenever he plays the boss is constantly on the touchline giving orders or a rollocking, which suggests he cannot trust the player never mind give him a consistent run in the team.
As for the other two, Darmian and Blind, Mourinho did say both were part of his plans next season but you’d want to be naive to believe everything that comes out of his mouth. That was more than likely said to prevent their valuations from lowering for potential suitors.
