Another swap offer involving Man Utd star emerges

It was well documented last summer that Jose Mourinho was keen to sign Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic. Unfortunately, the deal never developed but, if it did, would we have Alexis Sanchez at Old Trafford?

I wouldn’t be so sure about that and Anthony Martial would be even further down the pecking order had the Croatian international arrived.

But just when we thought the Perisic chapter was over, the rumours linking the winger to Old Trafford have returned as if he is the second coming of Wesley Sneijder.

Calciomercato, translated by SportWitness, claim Mourinho’s interest in Perisic has “remained intact”. Inter had asked about signing Anthony Martial last summer and their interest reportedly remains.

Now, it’s a matter of both clubs coming together and negotiating a deal that makes everyone involved happy.

After a difficult start to the season for Inter, Perisic has scored 11 goas and recorded eight assists in the Serie A.

The same story suggests Inter might sign Martial on loan with an option to sign the Frenchman on a permanent basis. His contract at Old Trafford expires in 2019.

We were genuinely waiting for this rumour to do the rounds and it comes just 24 hours after Inter loanee Joao Cancelo was allegedly put on United’s transfer target list, as per Calciomercato.
