Manchester United identify Brazilian as their main target

The Reds are looking to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer, claim reports.

Sandro would be a massive improvement on Luke Shaw, as well as Ashley Young, if he’s the one to come in and boost United in the left-back department. There are few better than him at the moment.

Shaw’s future at Old Trafford has gone down the drain and his failure to hold down a regular spot in the first team since Jose Mourinho’s arrival in 2016 proves the manager doesn’t fancy him one bit.

United are keen to bring the 27-year-old to Old Trafford, despite reports of interest in Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand in recent days.

Sandro was closely linked to Chelsea last summer due to being admired by current boss Antonio Conte. However, links appear to have disappeared with the Italian coach unhappy at Stamford Bridge and ready to move on once this season comes to an end.

United take on West Brom this weekend with Young set to take up the left-back slot.
