It’s Monday morning and we’ve already come across the most ridiculous story of the week.
Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is being linked with a move to Liverpool. Yes, Liverpool.
Claims such as “Liverpool are reported to have drawn up a three-year contract for Marouane Fellaini” are, quite clearly, bullshit.
Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur was quick to rubbish the story as being one planted by Fellaini’s agent.
An agent has offered Marouane Fellaini to Monaco. PSG have enquired. Then a French newspaper with no connection to the player, nor the club drops the news that Liverpool have offered him a contract. Club react that they have 0 interest. That’s transfer business. Agent business.

James Pearce, a highly respected Liverpool journalist, also ruled out the transfer from happening.
More chance of Klopp signing you Paddy.

Fellaini will be a free agent at the end of the season and as the saga drags on it looks increasingly likely that he will be leaving United.
I have no doubt that will come as a relief to some Reds.
