Manchester United vs Arsenal: Key facts and figures

Manchester United host Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

The two rivals go into the game with completely different objectives as Arsenal are pushing for the league title, while United are scrambling for enough points to ensure qualification for Europe next season.

Erik ten Hag’s side has fallen off a cliff this season but there needs to be a final push to salvage anything from our season. This weekend we welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford and then we’ve just two league matches remaining against Newcastle and Brighton.

  • Arsenal are looking for their first league double over United since 2006/07.
  • The Gunners have not won three in a row against United since November 1997 and September 1998.
  • Mikel Arteta’s side have won 14 of their last 16 matches in the league.
  • Marcus Rashford, who returned to training this week, has been involved in six goals in his past four Premier League starts against Arsenal – scoring four and assisting two. His 10 goal involvements against the Gunners is his most against a single opponent in the Premier League.
  • On the other hand, Bukayo Saka has been involved in five Premier League goals against United (three goals, two assists). Only Thierry Henry (12) has had a hand in more.
