Manchester United fans have rallied behind manager Erik ten Hag after Cristiano Ronaldo slammed the current setup and claimed he has “no respect” for the Dutchman.
In a disappointing turn of events, Ronaldo has done an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan about his unhappiness at Old Trafford. Quotes from the chat were published on Sunday night – after Alejandro Garnacho’s 93rd minute winner at Craven Cottage.
This wasn’t the first time this season that Ronaldo has tried to take the headlines after a United game he didn’t play in. Following a 2-0 win over Tottenham in October, the 37-year-old stormed down the tunnel after refusing to come on as a substitute.
Ten Hag then decided to drop Ronaldo for the following game against Chelsea, but he has since been brought back into the team and given the captain’s armband.
Fans have been reacting to the Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan, although the full video won’t be available until Thursday. Most are rallying behind the team because nobody is bigger than the club.
Thanks for everything, Ronnie. Now off you pop 👋 pic.twitter.com/GYRfrGiMC4

Just to be clear if Ronaldo has been mistreated at #mufc he has every right to be upset. The problem is gunning for your manager and allowing a staunch Arsenal fan to broadcast it to the world in the middle of a season is WILD!
This stinks of sabotage 😒

I agree on most of the things Ronaldo said but he just can’t throw ten Hag under the bus like that. From the outside I can’t see much regarding Erik disrespecting him, it’s more like the other way round tbh. But perhaps there are issues inside the camp that only they know #MUFC🔴

Surely that is Ronaldo done at Manchester United now. Don't see how there is a way back for him especially after going on record to say he doesn't respect Ten Hag.
Ronaldo's a club icon but pretty sure majority of #mufc fans would be on ETH's side.@CharDuncker— AJ (@AJUnitedforever) November 13, 2022
Shame it had to end like this! @Cristiano #MUFC

No one is bigger than the club, not even the great Cristiano Ronaldo.
I feel the us, the supporters, won't be (like you suggest they are) on your side now.
Theres absolutely no coming back from this. Terminate his contract, such a sad way for things to end. #mufc

Cr7 i have always respect u, as a United legend,as world Greatest football Goat, but 4 u, using ur interview, to insult us United fans, Coach and Club…There 4 u lack respect and u don’t worth any, u wil end ur carrer and start an other carrer, u wil earn respect, not even ur kids, pls jst go, u remain United Legend 4 life but goooooo
Petulant child, tried to get out at the end of the season, thought he could go anywhere, no one wanted him. Missed pre season, refused to come on as sub, left early. Sorry CR7 you were a great player, but I fear you will play out your final games in the ignominy of The MLS……or even worse some middle east club. Being paid as a mercenary not a world great.
Shame on Ronaldo we respected you so much but if you attack Ten hag, the management and fans noooooo
Some of us here don’t understand or read before committing he didn’t institute the fun or the club
The Lion becomes Rat. Is he 27 years old? He is useless for united and is better to go to Saudi Arabia or Qatar. I saw yesterday on the Aston villa game that United has gotten the promising world class striker, Garnacho indeed.
Shame it had end like this, Cr7 we really appreciate for what you’ve done at mufc
Ronaldo should leave in peace not in peices pls!
