Benjamin Sesko has squandered a golden opportunity to potentially win the game for Manchester United against Leeds United.
The two arch-rivals remain tied heading into the final 10 minutes of regular time at Elland Road following two quickfire goals from Brenden Aaronson and Matheus Cunha.

Joshua Zirkzee, who was introduced to the action as soon as Aaronson’s effort hit the back of the net, had an immediate impact when assisting Cunha with his first touches of the ball.

The Dutchman could’ve added another assist to his tally just eight minutes later when he fired a low driven cross into the area for Sesko to latch on to.

Sesko was in the perfect spot to get on the end of the pass, but proceeded to tap his shot wide of the post – a chance that almost appeared more difficult to miss than it was to score.
“Sesko’s first-time effort wide from Zirkzee cut-back. Head in hands moment,” reacted BBC Sports journalist Simon Stone on X/Twitter.
A win today could see United move to fourth before the 3pm fixtures get underway and before managerless Chelsea face Manchester City later this evening.
Next up for Ruben Amorim and his men is a midweek encounter at home to Burnley on Wednesday evening, which, on paper, has to be a comfortable victory at Old Trafford.
They then pause their Premier League action to lock horns with Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday, January 11, in the third round of the FA Cup.

This guy really an upgrade on Højlund??
