Despite overseeing Manchester United’s worst start to a campaign in 33 years, Ruben Amorim retains the backing of INEOS – for now.
A 3-0 defeat in the Manchester derby left United 14th-placed in the Premier League table upon the culmination of matchweek four, having overseen two defeats, one win and one draw.
With no European action to account for, they are now preparing for the visit of Chelsea, who are yet to lose in their opening matches, on Saturday evening.
INEOS to give Amorim three games to save United career

Even this early in the season, every point dropped is now looking integral to how Amorim’s future could play out at Old Trafford.
David McDonnell of The Mirror has revealed that the United boss could well be relieved of his duties depending on the outcome of the next three fixtures. INEOS then plan to evaluate the situation, which may result in them parting ways with their chosen Erik ten Hag successor.

It was also claimed on Monday that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is confident the current crop of players at Amorim’s disposal is more than capable of securing Champions League qualification by May next year. Should they continue slipping further away from the top end of the table, changes will have to be made.
Why United’s co-owners are expecting quality results this campaign
INEOS shelled out £216 million to bolster Amorim’s ranks over the summer with four additions, including an entirely new frontline following the arrivals of Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha.
Deadline-day signing Senne Lammens was left out of the starting XI for the trip to the Etihad over the weekend but may be in line to make his maiden bow against Enzo Maresca’s Blues.
After Chelsea, United are away to Brentford and will then lock horns with newly-promoted Sunderland on October 4 – the final game before yet another international break. When club action resumes, it’s Liverpool at Anfield.

Amorim has to go. Man Utd hierarchy has given him almost all he’s asked for and yet there is and has been no upturn in actual results and points on the board.
Amorim says he wants what’s best for the club, so if that’s true change the system!
The longer he sticks with his flawed 3-4-3 formation it will become apparent that he’s literally out of his depth in the PL and a bluffer with a gift for stating the obvious in post match press interviews without ever actually saying how he’s going to put things right.
Amorim need to face reality his ridiculous 3-4-3 system is too easy to play against!
Our next three fixtures are Chelsea Brentford and Sunderland then Liverpool after that and i can’t see us getting much change out of those except perhaps Sunderland
If RA goes, who do you fancy for the next Manager?
The opening weeks of a new Season are one heck of a time to be looking for a replacement, but it does look like that’s the way things are heading.
Find it hard to believe that faced with changing his beloved system or losing his job as Manager Of Manchester United, he still wouldn’t budge.
RA……plz walk mate your a loser.
I don’t see anything changing.I don’t think I’ll be off the mark in suspecting that RA doesn’t mind getting fired & leaving the managerial hotseat judging some utterances he has been making. Will be a nice way of leaving with a fatter pocket isn’t it??
RA has seven real spirited players who value the badge.
Mbeumo
Cunha
Bruno
Maguire
Yoro
Amad
And you expect him to wrought miracles????
The problem is in the players’ lack of intrinsic motivation. Imagine all departments with the spirit of Mbeumo!!!
Stick to the coach and buy well in the next wimdow.
