Fabrizio Romano shared the latest updates on Manchester United who are on the verge of signing Matheus Cunha before turning their attention towards other players.
All sources agree that the Wolverhampton forward is on the verge of finalising his transfer to Old Trafford, which should ensue in the coming days.
The Red Devils identified the 25-year-old as the right profile to fill in the Number 10 role. Therefore, he’s expected to fill in as a left attacking midfielder in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation, alongside Amad Diallo and behind a centre-forward.
In the latest video update on his official YouTube channel, Romano once again confirmed the imminent arrival of the Brazilian.
Man Utd could go after another No. 10 after Cunha

Man United have already agreed terms with Cunha and his entourage, and they can skip all negotiations with Wolves by activating the player’s £62.5 million, but they prefer to find an agreement on payment methods which would ease the financial burden of the operation.
Nevertheless, Romano believes there could be room for one more new signing capable of playing as a Number 10 at Carrington, although it depends on player sales.
The Italian journalist doesn’t mention any names, but it should be noted that some reports have been linking the Red Devils with wantaway Lyon ‘wizard’ Rayan Cherki, who impressed them in their Europa League meetings.
Man United still fighting for Viktor Gyokeres
But while adding another midfielder would be a luxury, signing a top-notch centre-forward remains an absolute priority for the club.
Hence, Romano reveals that United remain in the mix for Viktor Gyokeres who is certainly on his way out of Sporting CP.
The free-scoring striker should be available for circa £65 million, and several sources claimed that Arsenal have made significant progress in their attempts to land him.
Nevertheless, Man Utd could still launch an onslaught to reunite Amorim with his old pupil, who would certainly be an update on the club’s current crop.
Cunha, delap, and a goalkeeper needed to strengthen the spine of the team.
We could definitely do with Mbuemo (Red Hot)
Delay? Are you for real? He’d only come if we qualified for Europe. We want players like Cunha who want to play for the club irrespective of whether we’re in Europe or not.
If I were to be the owner of Man Utd and any players saying they will join us only if we are playing in Champions League I will tell them to bugger off and ban him from being signed by MANCHESTER UNITED forever.
No players are bigger than the clubs. If star think they are big, good luck to them as our academy kids are bigger than them.
