Manchester United could welcome back three top guns ahead of the Europa League semi-final double header against Athletic Bilbao.
The Red Devils have just pulled off their most memorable comeback victory in years as they rallied from 2-4 to beat Lyon by five goals to four (7-6 on aggregate) in one of the most dramatic scenarios one could imagine.
United are now preparing to host Wolves on Sunday before travelling to Bournemouth next weekend. But in reality, the supporters care little about the outcomes of these two Premier League fixtures, as the club has little to nothing to play for on the domestic stage.
With the Reds lying in a miserable 14th place in the table, winning the Europa League is their only path towards redemption, as it would guarantee them a place in the Champions League next term.
Man United set for triple boost ahead of Europa League clashes against Athletic Bilbao

After a gruelling 120 minutes on Thursday, Ruben Amorim has been left with a physically and emotionally exhausted squad, but the good news for the Portuguese is that three key players should rejoin his squad ahead of the two fixtures against Bilbao.
“Just a reminder Amad, Ayden Heaven and De Ligt should all hopefully be back for the semi-finals too,” posted Man Utd insider Sully on his X account.
Amad Diallo has been out with an ankle problem since mid-February. The Ivorian’s services have been dearly missed, as he was one of the club’s most consistent performers under Amorim. Luckily, he has been making important strides on his recovery path.
For his part, Matthijs de Ligt suffered a knock in the aftermath of the defeat against Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
Finally, Ayden Heaven sustained a muscle injury during the 3-0 win over Leicester City. While the fans feared the worst, the teenager managed to return to the fold earlier than expected, but then suffered a relapse.
Man Utd will take on Bilbao away from home on May 1st, before hosting them in the decisive second leg seven days later.
Lindelof and erickson has no future at united playing them is only holding back some wonderful academy players
Totally agree with Seamus. We should put in the youth and see if they will be good enough for the first team next year.
I agree too, however they still need to earn their salary and maybe the academy players can come off the bench in the second half.
Actually, this Supporter DOES care about the results of our remaining league fixtures – I want us to win them all, but if we can’t, at least show that we’re starting to consistently come together as a Team. We saw under Ten Hag that winning a cup – whilst marvellous – didn’t result in improved League form. And that, most of all, is what I and most fans desperately want to see.
For my own point of view..the team need experience that’s why the coach bring in Erikson n ledelof nothing wrong with that
Agree 100% !
I am seriously annoyed by the Coach for repeating Erickson mistake.
This Dude Erickson costed us 4 -1 Newcastle then hand him a start .
He is extremely poor playing number 6
Mason Mount is a shadow of himself
Coach must give the youth a chance. They are ready. They proved that beyond doubt. The club needs to be grateful with what l saw last night. They were better than other players.
