Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to break the bank to secure the services of Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo.

The 19-year-old is a youth product of the club who rose to prominence last seaon under Erik ten Hag and swiftly endeared himself to the Red Army with his energetic displays and a composure beyond his years. He was also one of the main heroes of last season’s FA Cup final victory over Man City, scoring the goal that proved to be the winner.

Mainoo’s rise to stardom saw him earning plaudits from fans and pundits alike, and Rio Ferdinand went on to describe him as an ‘elusive’ player.

The midfieldder had his highs and low this term, as Ruben Amorim is still trying to find him his ideal role. Nevertheless, most Man Utd faithful believe he has what it takes to become a stalwart at the club.

Nevertheless, the club management might have hard time keeping him at Carrington, especially with top clubs interested in his services.

According Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur via Goal.com, PSG have set their sights on the England international who could be one of the club’s main targets for next summer. The source claims the Ligue 1 champions are willing to go north of €100 million in their quest to lure the teenager to the French capital.

Moreover, the same report reveals that Bayern Munich are also big admirers of the player, but they’d have tough time keeping up with PSG in the race, as the Bavarians won’t be able to shell out similar figures. On the other hand, Real Madrid have apparently pulled out, preferring to focus on bolstering other areas.

Mainoo’s contract with Man Utd runs until June 2027, but INEOS have been struggling to find an agreement with his entourage over a renewal. Hence, the youngster remains one of the lowest earners in the first team with a weekly salary of £100k.

    1. I’m a United fan.. the club is a joke. I’d say the manager is sick he ever went near Manchester United.. the club or manager needs to go with youngsters and start from scratch.. they would want to lower the wages and we will see who will stick around. Why go to Saudi Arabia when you can stay at United. Seems you only need a good social media profile to be a football player in today’s world.. I’m sick to death of the carry on at the club.. if I have my choice players if they want to play for the club would need to have to get of social media. Seriously and this 5 year contracts. Year by year contracts and you will see who really wants to play at the club..

  1. How has this happened? How the FECK has this wealthy Club suddenly become a selling Club?
So we (potentially) sell Mainoo and Garnacho and hope to find players who are cheaper and just as good, if not better. Yeah, must be loads like that around. Let’s wait until the last day of the next transfer window, and try to strike a deal. I used to be so proud of this Club; they just embarrass me now.

  2. How sure are we that these clubs want to buy? I know Manchester United they will get a deal done with Maino soon or later and it makes sense to keep him at the 100k salary for financial fair play reasons till the likes of Casimero, Erickson, Lindelof etc leave in June then we give Maino his 🥕

  3. I contacted to say that INEOS and Glazers are the same coin of the same side. LVG have said it all. They are turned our club to a business centre and not a football club. It is a shame! Rashford was blackmailed so that he will request to leave the club. Take of this: the players are Mainoo and Garnacho. That is the reason they refused to sell the club to Sheikh Jazim
