Alejandro Garnacho hit back at a fan who heckled him ahead of Manchester United’s Europa League clash against PAOK on Thursday.
The Argentine forward took time to sign autographs for fans when one intruder, a fully grown man, took it upon himself to criticise a 20-year-old younger.
Not only was it unnecessary at a time Garnacho was giving something back to the fans, the criticism wasn’t very constructive.
The fan recording a live stream told Garnacho to “pass better today, score a goal and work on your first touch as well, yeah?” Before walking away, Garnacho put him in his place, saying: “Why are you not playing, man?”
This isn’t useful or constructive. It’s insulting and unnecessary. Fair play to Garnacho for putting him in his place.

I think I can speak for most United fans when I say Garnacho deserves more respect than that.
Garnacho has been United’s most prolific player this season with six goals across all competitions. He starts tonight’s game against PAOK and will be looking to add to his season tally as United look for their first European win.
Alejandro Garnacho can make fan eat his words
Hopefully, Garnacho can go out and make this moronic fan eat his words.
Garnacho didn’t have one of his best games in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea, but he performed well in the game prior against Leicester City. You have to expect inconsistency with young players, but we’ll get nowhere with brutal heckling.
Most fans on social media have reacted negatively to the video and think Garnacho was right with his fiery response.
Never mind, why wasn’t he playing? With that deep knowledge of how to play, this genius should surely be managing at the highest level. Clearly not a fan, at least not one of our notoriously loyal followers, just some duck-wit trying to make a name for himself on social media.
