Paul Pogba’s career went from bad to worse after leaving Manchester United and he’s no in ‘advanced talks’ to leave Juventus again.
The 31-year-old midfielder was handed a four-year suspension from football after failing a doping test in 2013.
It looked like the ban would prematurely end Pogba’s playing career, but it has been reduced to 18 months following an appeal. This means the former United midfielder, who had two spells at Old Trafford, can return to training in January ahead of a return to action in March.
However, Juventus do not want Pogba and a decision has been made to terminate his contract, which is set to expire in 2026.
“I can confirm that we’re in talks with Paul Pogba and his camp to find a solution,” Juventus chief executive Maurizio Scnavino said, as per the Daily Express: “I can confirm that we’re in talks with Paul Pogba and his camp to find a solution.”
Prior to his ban, Pogba made just 12 appearances for Juventus across all competitions.
Paul Pogba could form Manchester United reunion with Mason Greenwood
With Pogba expected to join a new club in January, there is plenty of talk about potential suitors.
We don’t expect United to make the same mistake again but there are suggestions that Pogba could link up with Mason Greenwood at Marseille.
Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille are thought to be eyeing up a move for the midfielder.
Former United and Juventus left-back Patrice Evra recently said he would assist his ex-teammate with a move to Marseille.
“I think that 99% we won’t see Paul in the Juventus colours again. He needs to turn the page,” Evra said, as quoted by Football 365.
“I’m going to call Mehdi Benatia [Marseille’s sporting director] to give him [Pogba] a phone call, because the doors are open.”
Many thanks for the scary headline!
Not like United to make the same mistakes, is it?
As if! 🫣
