Manchester United star spotted wearing protective boot leaving Villa Park

Harry Maguire was forced off at half-time in Manchester United’s draw with Aston Villa on Sunday.

The centre-back started the game ahead of Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez, and he was partnered by man of the match Jonny Evans in the heart of defence.

However, Maguire appeared to suffer an injury during the first half and was replaced at the break by summer signing De Ligt.

Concerns about the severity of the injury have grown as Maguire was seen limping whilst wearing a protective boot as he made his way to the team transport from Villa Park.

Noussair Mazraoui also made way for Victor Lindelof at half-time.

Ten Hag declined to comment on both injuries after the match and insisted they will assess further on Monday.

“We have to assess this,” Ten Hag told MUTV, as quoted by the Mail. “I can’t tell you now what the issue is. I know what the issue is but [I cannot say now] how good or bad it is.

“We have to see assess this tomorrow and then we will bring you news.”

United are currently without Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. We could do without further injuries because we’re struggling enough as it is with the current squad.
