Manchester United chiefs are already putting plans in place for the 2025 summer window.
As such, and as is usually the case, you can expect to hear the club linked with an abundance of names throughout the campaign. It remains to be seen what kind of business they’ll get done – if any – in January, as the winter window has become notorious for being a quiet one at Old Trafford in the past couple of years.
Per Manchester Evening News, one name already atop INEOS’ shortlist for the end of the season is Crystal Palace ‘talisman’ Eberechi Eze.
Any pursuit would, of course, depend on how he fares throughout the term, but if it’s akin to how dependable he became in 2023/2024, you can expect United’s interest to remain – though he is now operating without dynamic attacking partner Michael Olise, who joined Bayern Munich in July.
United are already aware of Eze’s price tag
Eze’s current contract at Selhurst Park contains a £68 million release clause, which will be valid in 2025 should the Reds wish to activate it. The 26-year-old now has 13 England caps to his name and scored his first goal of 2024/2025 in the Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Chelsea on September 1.
