‘Agreement in principle’ – Fabrizio Romano offers key update on former Red Devil

Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on the future of former Red Devil Memphis Depay.

Memphis Depay arrived at Old Trafford in 2015 under former Bayern Munich manager Louis Van Gaal.

The Dutch winger was given the famous number seven shirt during his time at Old Trafford but it didn’t work out for the young prospect, who was eventually sold to Lyon in 2017 by former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

During his time in Manchester, he was used as a flying winger who was keen to show his skill and potential.

The Dutchman has re-invented himself as more of a number nine since his Old Trafford exit.

Memphis has since had a successful career with stints at Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in recent seasons.

The 30-year-old is currently available as a free agent but Fabrizio Romano has suggested that he is set for a new club.
