Bruno Fernandes is among the Manchester United players preparing to take on rivals Man City in this year’s Community Shield, a week before the new Premier League campaign gets underway.
Known as the “curtain-raiser”, the Community Shield marks the official start of the English football season. United booked their place in the pre-season Wembley showpiece after beating City 2-1 in the 2024 FA Cup final.
City secured their spot after pipping Arsenal to the Premier League title.
That means we’re set for an all-Manchester Community Shield on Saturday afternoon in London.
However, 48 hours before kick-off, Bruno Fernandes was spotted with City full-back Joao Cancelo.

The Portuguese duo are believed to have shared a meal and I can just imagine Roy Keane is waiting to have a go at Fernandes for being too friendly with our bitter rivals.
I can only presume they enjoyed a nice meal together whilst discussing City’s 115 charges.
